Daniel Rogers of Steel & Stone has produced over a decade’s worth of custom steel work , custom stonework and stone repair work throughout the states of West Virginia, Maryland , Virginia and Pennsylvania. The studio -Morningside Forge- is located near the historic town of Middleway, WV.

His pursuits in blacksmithing range from designing and creating architectural elements such as handrails, gates, lighting and fencing along with interior furnishings and fireplace accessories. All created by the use of forge and anvil. In recent years, his preferred method of designing and creating involve the use of aesthetics and function to play on one another by use of traditional joinery.

Daniel’s stonework revolves primarily around natural stonemasonry. He prefers laying stone dry (without mortar) however, oftentimes the job may require the use of various types of mortars to be used. Steel & Stone specializes in historic stone repairs as well as new construction of stone walkways, patios and walls.
